Bill and Hillary Clinton Visit Their Granddaughter Charlotte in the Hospital—See the Pics!

Politicians have become first-time grandparents

Those are the faces of some seriously happy grandparents!

Bill and Hillary Clinton were spotted visiting their new granddaughter, Charlotte Clinton Mezvinsky, as well as their daughter, Chelsea Clinton, earlier today at Lennox Hill Hospital in New York City.

Both politicians waved to the crowd as they entered the medical building and had grins from ear to ear.

It was announced over the weekend that Chelsea had given birth to her first child, a baby girl, on Sept. 26 and the family shared adorable photos of the newborn.

"Marc and I are full of love, awe and gratitude as we celebrate the birth of our daughter," Chelsea tweeted and posted to Facebook.

"At 7:03 PM on September 26th, we finally met Charlotte," she tweeted while holding her little bundle of joy in her arms. "We're in love."

The former president and secretary of state also released a statement after the birth announcement: "We are thrilled to be with our daughter and her husband as they welcome their daughter into the world. Chelsea is well and glowing. Marc is bursting with pride. Charlotte's life is off to a good start."

A snapshot showing Hillary holding her grandchild while Bill plays with her little hand was also shown by the political family.

Both Bill and Hillary sent out more emotional messages via Twitter after meeting the newest addition to their family:

"@BillClinton and I are over the moon to be grandparents," Hillary posted. "One of the happiest moments of our life." 

Bill chimed in with the same sentiments, writing, "Charlotte, your grandmother @HillaryClinton and I couldn't be happier."
