After a three-week hiatus from the public eye, Kate Middleton is returning to her royal duties.

The Duchess of Cambridge, who is currently expecting her second child with husband Prince William, is planning to resume her royal engagements next month, the Palace revealed in a statement to the Mail Online on Sunday. The 32-year-old royal has been suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum, a rare pregnancy complication often categorized by extreme sickness.

"There will be engagements in October and November. We just haven't announced them yet," a royal aides spokesman revealed. However, the Palace is proceeding with caution before announcing Middleton's plans in case she cannot attend.

"There are engagements she would like to do over the coming months, but they are being reviewed daily," a royal source told People, adding that Kate's team is monitoring her health on a "day to day" basis.

Clarence House announced Middleton's pregnancy earlier this month and revealed that the brunette beauty had been placed under medical care at Kensington Palace as she copes with Hyperemesis Gravidarum (the duchess suffered from the same condition during her first pregnancy with Prince George). The illness often times requires additional hydration, medication and nutrients.

Following the news, Kate subsequently canceled her appearance with her husband at Oxford that same day before pulling out of the Opening Ceremony of the Invictus Games. Less than two weeks later, she was also forced to call off her trip to Malta, which would have marked her first solo excursion overseas, opting to send Prince William in her place.

"I'm sorry you've got me instead of Catherine," William joked at the event to hundreds of onlookers. "She's very disappointed she couldn't be here today."

Asked how his wife has been feeling, the soon-to-be father of two replied, "She's so-so."

Middleton's last official engagement took place on August 5 in  Mons, Belgium, where the duchess, her husband and Prince Harry paid their respects to fallen World War I heroes during a special lights-out ceremony at the Saint Symphorien Military Cemetery.

Meanwhile, the soon-to-be mother of two has yet to reach her first trimester. The Palace preemptively (and presumably) spilled the beans on Kate's bun in the oven due to her ongoing struggle with Hyperemesis Gravidarum.
