OUAT's showrunners loved him so much he only had to read once for the Frozen role

Once Upon a Time introduced the world of Frozen to Storybrooke last night, and while we still can't get over how much Elizabeth Lail sounds like Kristen Bell, all we really want to see is more Kristoff!

Played by Greek alum and Chasing Life star Scott Michael Foster, the Disney prince came to life right before our eyes in one amazing-but-too-short scene in the OUAT season four premiere.

And even though we only saw Kristoff in one scene, it was enough to show off why he got the part. He's absolutely perfect!

The OUAT showrunners agree with us, since Foster revealed to E! News that he only had to read for the part once.

"Sometimes you read five, six, seven times for a role and you meet new people every time and you just keep climbing that ladder and then it never goes anywhere," Foster told us. "And then sometimes you just read once and then you get it! And that's how this was. I went in and I read for them once, and they were like, 'You're the guy!' I prefer it that way because I don't have to stress out every time I go in to read, wondering if I could have done better or if I should have done anything different or something like that. I guess they just really liked the first read. I'm happy it turned out that way."

Yeah, so are we. Now that we've seen Foster as Kristoff, there's no one else we could imagine in the role. But turns out Foster never thought he'd have the chance to portray the Disney prince!

"I never ever thought that that would happen!" Foster said with a laugh. "But I'm glad it did because my nieces and nephews are big fans of that story and so they're excited for their Uncle Scott to be playing that character."

In fact, it wasn't until Foster put on the Kristoff costume for the first time that he really felt like the character.

"Literally, the first day that I got there, I flew in, got off the airplane and went to the studio for a wardrobe fitting for the costume," Foster said. "It was a spitting image of Kristoff. There was also a reality to it. It wasn't just putting on costume. I didn't look like the guy that was going to be doing a parade in Disneyland. It looks real. And I mean, you never know how it's going to turn out. Stuff like this could always end up looking a little too fairytale-y. But this has a little reality to it. So putting on the costume and actually seeing myself in the clothes and in the shoes and everything, it looked good. I think it always helps when you build a character and then you actually step into that character's wardrobe, something else happens. Another angle of the character comes to life."

Foster can't wait for viewers to see how the rest of the Frozen arc plays out on the show.

"The writers did a great job of adapting the characters from the Frozen story and implementing them into the Once Upon a Time world," Foster said. "And everyone that's playing the characters from the Frozen story, they're extremely talented actors. They look and sound the parts. And the production value that's being put into this storyline, it's so high, the attention to detail is high, the care that everyone is putting towards this is so great and I think that without giving the story away, what we're doing, people are going to enjoy it."

OUAT airs Sundays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
