Carrie Underwood thinks it's "weird" that she's pregnant.

With her baby bump dressed in a curve-hugging LBD, the country singer, 31, appeared on NBC's Today Friday. While there, she opened up for the first time about what it feels like to be expecting her first child with husband Mike Fisher. She said she'll often look at her the hockey player and say, "'I'm gonna be a mom. You're gonna be a dad.' It's like, is this real life?" Underwood said. "But we're really excited."

"I have a wonderful mother so if I can be even a little bit like that, I think that we'll be good," she added.

Underwood announced her pregnancy via Instagram earlier this month.

Underwood will sing live during Saturday's Global Citizen Festival concert in New York City's Central Park. Previously announced performers include Fun., Jay Z, No Doubt, The Roots, Sting and Tiësto.

The singer made another big announcement on Today: she has new music in the works! The American Idol winner played a sneak peek for Hoda Kotb and said, "The song is called 'Something in the Water' and it's going to be a single off my greatest hits album, which will come out Dec. 9...It's very uplifting."

"I'm really excited that people are going to hear it Monday," she added.

According to Underwood, "Something in the Water" is "about changing your life for the better and having that 'aha moment' to waking up and your life being different from that moment forward."
