Death is coming to Springfield.

That's right, The Simpsons is set to kill off one of its beloved characters in its season 26 premiere, airing on Sunday, and we have an exclusive clip from the episode that may offer a bit of a clue as to who could be meeting the grim reaper by episode's end.

In the Fox hit's premiere episode, ominously titled "Clown in the Dumps," Krusty the Clown will decide to retire (!) after being roasted by a handful of comedians, including guest star Sarah Silverman.

And we have your first look at Silverman in roasting action in our exclusive sneak peek at the milestone episode above. But after watching the clip, we think Krusty may have taken a bigger dig at Silverman than she did at him!

But will Krusty the Clown be The Simpsons' big death?  "We gave [the episode] that title for a reason," creator Al Jean recently told reporters. "Some people have guessed it correctly and some people are really, really off."

Also set to lend their voices to the 26th season premiere are David Hyde Pierce and Jeff Ross.

And Sunday will be a big night for the Simpsons family as they are set to host the Griffin family when Peter and the gang find themselves in Springfield in Family Guy's season 13 premiere, and we've got your first look at the epic crossover

The Simpsons premieres Sunday, Sept. 28 at 8 p.m. on Fox.
