Sherri Shepherd is such a hoot.

The comedienne caught up with E! News last night after performing in the #NYTough Comedy Showcase in New York City, and in true Sherri fashion, the 47-year-old took the serious scandal surrounding the celeb nude photo leak and managed to find the humor in it all. "I do have to say, I have pictures from when I'm 24 that I'm hoping come out," she quipped. "I'm going to send them out myself, you know, because the boobs was poppin'!"

However, in all seriousness, Shepherd did express sympathy for those stars who were involved and hopes the hacker gets what's coming for them. "You know I really feel for them, because they're going after celebrities. And these are private, personal pictures and it's just not right. I think it's disgusting. The person who did it needs to go to jail. I'm thoroughly disgusted."

ABC/Lou Rocco

Shepherd recently said goodbye to The View after seven seasons as a co-host on the ABC talk show, and her departure sparked numerous speculation that there was feuding going on behind the scenes, but she tells us that none of that mattered.

"We had fighting rumors for seven years. As long as you sit on the couch and the audience loves you, who cares what happens backstage? As long as the end product is what people like and can digest, you can fight all you want to backstage. I'm a product of fighting, you get through it. You sit at that table and smile. No matter what's going on."

Sherri, who adds that she still watches the show with new co-hosts Rosie Perez and Nicolle Wallace, is having the time of her life getting back to her acting roots with Broadway's Cinderella. "The View is live and Cinderella is live, but now I get to act. When I did The View I didn't get to act. I'm an actress, I'm getting back to my roots. Barbara [Walters] even said that when she came to see me in Cinderella. She said, ‘You need to do more acting!'"

It was revealed in August that Shepherd was joining KeKe Palmer in Cinderella as the evil stepmother, Madame. The show will run until Jan. 3.
