Dancing With the Stars week two is here! Is there a new frontrunner emerging? Lea Thompson of Caroline in the City and Back to the Future fame was the highest scorer with 35. And last week she was almost eliminated!
"It was really exciting and really unexpected," she told E! News backstage, adding that she was nervous last week. As for that potential wardrobe malfunction...Thompson blames the mic placement that almost pushed one of her "ladies out."
Pretty Little Liars star Janel Parrish wasn't far behind Thompson with 34, YouTube star Bethany Mota followed with a 33 and Alfonso Ribeiro received a 32.
Despite his dip, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star Ribeiro said the judges were fair about his dance to the hit Will Smith song. "There were some things that went wrong and they saw them," he said. "They gave great scores for what happened out there."
Mota got a special shout out from Taylor Swift following her week one performance. "I'm really excited that she was so supportive of it," Mota said. Her debut dance was to Swift's newest hit "Shake It Off." Mota had a special message for the singer that you can see in the her interview!
Last week's lowest scorer, Betsey Johnson, glammed it up for week two and got a 28, tying Tommy Chong, Randy Couture and Tavis Smiley. With her new makeover, Johnson said she felt "beautiful."
"I never showed my face, I never showed my eyes," Johnson said. And she credits her partner Tony Dovolani for making her feel pretty. For his part, he said he did research to transform the fashion designer. "I wanted to give her the night she deserved," he said.
"It was really so pleasurable," Johnson said of her week two performance. "This is a real life-changer for me in so many, many ways."
Meanwhile, Duck Dynasty star Sadie Robertson got a little edgier with her dance, but her mom was quick to congratulate her.
Chong showed off a new side this week, going shirtless! See what he had to say above. At the bottom of the leaderboard this week was NASCAR star Michael Waltrip, who received the lowest score of the night, a 24. Will racing aficionados save him for elimination?
