This little girl will likely never forget the time she was swept off her feet—and by a prince!

Isabelle Nixon, the 5-year-old daughter of a British disabled Iraq war veteran, was trying to watch Foo Fighters perform at the Invictus Games' closing ceremony in London this past weekend. She became upset because she wasn't tall enough to see the stage. So in comes Prince Harry to the rescue!

Prince William's redheaded younger brother, a former British Army Apache helicopter pilot who served two tours in Afghanistan, hoisted the child on his shoulders, allowing the girl, who was (responsibly) wearing noise-reducing headphones, to watch frontman Dave Grohl and the rest of the group rock out onstage. NBC's Today show recently featured photos and a video of his heartwarming deed.

"I was completely over the moon," the U.K. newspaper The Daily Mail quoted Isabelle as saying. "I was chuffed [delighted] to bits."

Harry, William, 32, and father Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, had all made appearances at the Invictus Games, an international sporting event for wounded servicemen and women that ran between Sept. 10 and Sept. 14, a day before the younger prince turned 30.

Isabelle's 31-year-old father, Adam Nixon, who lost his left leg in an explosion while fighting in Iraq in 2004, was the captain of Team Great Britain's wheelchair basketball team, which beat Team USA 19-9 on Saturday. He and Isabelle attended the ceremony with his wife and her mother, Taryn, 30, and their other children, son Jayden and daughters Abigail and Lilyana.

Adam told The Daily Mail that Harry had talked to them before the concert, shook his hand and told him he is a "legend." He also posed for a photo with the family.

Harry gave a speech at the closing ceremony, which also featured performances from Bryan Adams and Ellie Goulding (the latter of whom who performed at Harry's birthday party). Adam told the newspaper that Foo Fighters took the stage after he spoke and that the prince stayed to watch the concert. That's when he saw and recognized Isabelle, who appeared upset because she couldn't see the band.

"He approached us and smiled at me and just literally picked her up and just started to dance so she could see the stage," he said.

She initially did not know who the kind man was and her mother told her it was Harry, Adam added.

"When she realized who it was, she was lost for words. She just danced along to the Foo Fighters with him and hasn't stopped smiling since," he said.

"Isabelle now says she's a princess and tells all her friends she danced with 'Uncle Harry,'" the girl's mother said. "He was the perfect gentleman and made everyone's day, especially Isabelle's."
