Orange Is the New Black? According to Ellen Pompeo, it's all about the blue. The Grey's Anatomy star took to Twitter to share her homage to the hit Netflix series with her fellow cast members in blue scrubs.

"Blue is the new black #8daystillgreys #greysanatomy," she tweeted.

Fellow Shondaland star Kerry Washington, an admitted Grey's Anatomy fan, retweeted the picture and added: "UH. MAY. ZING. #TGIT." Shonda Rhimes takes over ABC's Thursday nights with Grey's at 8 p.m., Scandal at 9 p.m. and How to Get Away With Murder starring Viola Davis at 10 p.m.

At a recent panel, Washington grilled Pompeo for details about the new season of Grey's. "We can't move to DC because Meredith would find out her mother is alive and she would be pissed!" Pompeo joked, referencing actress Kate Burton, who appears on both Grey's Anatomy and Scandal. Expect flashbacks in season 11. "We are doing a lot of flashback stuff. Very challenging...A lot of people say how can you stay on a show 11 years. After 11 seasons you have to stay so alive and present. You can't disappoint the audience. You have to bring it," she said.

Pompeo also said once Grey's ends—yes, it will end eventually—she doesn't see herself acting anymore.

"I definitely don't have a strong desire to act after Grey's," she said. "I definitely feel myself transitioning. I don't find acting terribly empowering. For the place I am in my life, I think my age, once I hit 40, I feel differently. I don't necessarily want to work for other people."

Shonda's "Thank God It's Thursday" night launches on Sept. 25, with the premieres of Grey's, Scandal and Murder on ABC.
