Chloe Grace Moretz is getting all sorts of praise from the cast and crew of her new flick, The Equalizer.

Director Antoine Fuqua remembers their first meeting.

"She's a 16-year-old girl who walked into my office, sat down on the sofa and I just thought, 'She's like a little lady,'" he says. "She reminded me of a young Jodie Foster."

Moretz's co-star Denzel Washington says, "She just has it. Whatever it is, she has it."

In the action-thriller (in theaters on Sept. 26), Washington plays a former CIA assassin who comes out of retirement to help save a teen (Moretz) forced into prostitution by the Russian mob.

Moretz prepared for her role by visiting Children of the Night, an that helps rescue children from prostitution. She put on about six pounds after she was told by people she met there that she was too skinny to be a sex worker. (PS: Moretz told me she stays in shape by taking spin classes at Soul Cycle).

Moretz recalls her first day on set. "It was all so surreal," she says. "I've only had a couple of moments like that where I'm on set in the middle of a scene and in my head, I'm like wait. I'm acting opposite Denzel Washington…And it's strange and it's beautiful. It's amazing."
