Mariah Carey might be the one who loves diamonds, but it's Nick Cannon who's wearing $2 million worth of 'em!
Yes, daahlings, Mr. Cannon, 33, wore an all-diamond pair of shoes for the season 9 finale of America's Got Talent. And while his marriage might be fading out, these blinged-out Tom Ford kicks are not. In fact, these shoes have more than 14,000 full-cut round white diamonds set onto white gold, with a total carat weight of 340 carats.
Nick's over-the-top accessories were created by Jason Arasheben, founder of the jewelry business Jason of Beverly Hills, who told Women's Wear Daily, pre-taping he was "expecting a 'wow' factor for tonight."
"Not very often do I get a request for the most expensive shoes in the world. When Nick approached me last year, he said he wanted to make history and be so over the top," he said. "He wanted to set a new standard in diamonds. 'How can we make the most expensive pair of shoes in the world and make this finale special?'"
But these sparkly shoes, which are reportedly under review by the Guinness Book of World Records as the Most Valuable Pair of Shoes in the world, aren't exactly lightweight. Fortunately Nick's got some strong calf muscles, and because the designer "didn't want him looking like Frankenstein when he walked," he made sure to "consider functionality" while he made them.
