Cheryl Burke is ready to leave the ballroom.

Burke, who has been on Dancing With the Stars since its second season and was the first professional female to win, has announced that Season 19, which kicks off tonight, will be her last with the ABC reality hit.

"As of now, this is probably going to be my last season," Burke revealed on Good Morning America on Monday. "I started when I'm 20. I'm 30. I want to try new things and just see what's out there." (We should point out that the keyword in her announcement was "probably," meaning she could change her mind!)

We totally agree with GMA correspondent, and DWTS champion, Melissa Rycroft, who called Burke's announcement a "bombshell."

Set to compete with soap star Antonio Sabato Jr., Burke has won the mirrorball trophy two times, with Drew Lachey and Emmitt Smith. The fan favorite dancer has made it to the finals seven times.

Burke won't be the first major DWTS pro to exit the longrunning series. Julianne Hough, who is returning this season as the show's first-ever fourth permanent judge, left after season eight, and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who sat out two seasons before returning to win the 19th cycle, says his time as a competitor has come to an end

DWTS returns tonight at 8 p.m. on ABC.
