Play Ball! Last 6 Dodger Games of the Season Released by Time Warner, Los Angeles Fans Can Finally Watch on Pretty Much Any TV

With the playoffs around the corner, TW finally realizes it's not winning any friends or influencing people by limiting fans' enjoyment of the team to Sports Net LA

Attention Dodger fans who don't have Time Warner Cable: Let's put aside our collective annoyance and just enjoy this for what it is, for now.

With the team's magic number for clinching the National League West title at 11, Time Warner has relented and released the final six games of the Los Angeles' Dodgers' regular season schedule to local station KDOC, the Los Angeles Times reported Monday.

Which is included on all area cable and satellite plans, and watchable if your TV has an antenna. So hooray for that. (Check your local listings for the channel.)

Sure, sure, it's almost too little, too late, but the final six games do include a series with the current No. 2 team in the division, the San Francisco Giants. Any combination of 11 Dodger wins or Giants losses (starting with today's games) result in the Dodgers clinching the division and avoiding a wild card playoff game.

Leading NL Cy Young Award candidate (and possible NL MVP) Clayton Kershaw will be pitching in the series, as will Zach Greinke.

Oh, and Hall of Fame broadcaster Vin Scully will be calling the games that are going to air on KDOC, so there's the real big win for one and all right there.

And, of course, TWC subscribers who've been livin' the sweet Dodger-fan life all season, can still watch the games as usual on Sports Net LA.

"Time Warner Cable is part of this community and we're Dodger fans, too," Dinni Jain, TWC's chief operating officer, told the Times. "Angelenos love their Dodgers, and we're happy to give them a way to watch their beloved team during this pennant chase."

But when all is said and done, here's hoping that all of this nonsense is cleared up by next season so that all Dodger fans can get back to enjoying the home team on TV.

Any TV.
