Well this is a side of Chris Pratt we've never seen before!

In honor of #ThrowbackThursday, the 35-year-old Parks and Recreation star shared his first ever acting headshot on Twitter. In the "circa 2000" pic, a then 21-year-old Pratt gazed intensely at the camera while wearing an unbuttoned white button-down shirt, looking a little too serious for his own good.

The Guardians of the Galaxy star was well aware of the cheesiness factor, though. "The name's Douchemaster McChest," he joked of the vintage shot, adding wryly, "You're welcome."

Don't be fooled by the bleached blond locks in that headshot though—Pratt didn't break into the business as some pampered pretty boy! He was actually homeless in Maui and living in a van when a fateful encounter with actor-director Rae Dawn Chong changed the trajectory of his life.

As Pratt revealed in an interview with The Independent, he was working as a waiter at Bubba Gump Shrimp Company when he encountered the Commando star. He told Chong about his own acting prowess and, charmed, she offered him a role in a short film she was directing at the time, Cursed Part 3.

From there, things took off! "Originally the dream was to pay my bills doing nothing other than acting," he told The Independent. "I got there, but the dream is constantly evolving. Then my dream was to do roles that are more than just the bad guy, or the douche. Then it was to do sidekick roles; then comedy. Now it's like I've crossed over this line where I actually say no to stuff. I could never have fathomed that. Before I would have done commercials for herpes medication if you wanted me to. Gladly, just as long as I didn't have to wait tables again."

Don't think he really needs to worry about that happening!
