The 68-year-old, soon-to-be divorced rocker was spotted out with Daryl Hannah on Tuesday in Westlake, Calif., the actress' arm slung across his shoulders and his arm tucked firmly around her waist.
New couple alert?!
Well, according to People, Young and Hannah have been dating for months.
"They've taken no effort to even hide it," a source told the mag. "He recorded a new album a few weeks ago, and she was on Skype the entire time, giving him feedback on every take. He even told people in the studio she was his 'girlfriend.'" His marriage was reportedly on the rocks by the time he hooked up with Hannah.
Young filed for divorce from wife Pegi Young on July 29 after more than 36 years of marriage. The duo, who have two grown children together, also co-founded the Bridge School, which serves to educate kids with special needs and was inspired by their son Ben, who has cerebral palsy.
While Young seems to have moved on, his sometimes-bandmate David Crosby is apparently taking the breakup rather hard.
"Not gonna happen, man," the Crosby, Stills & Nash (and sometimes CSNY) singer told the Idaho Statesman earlier this month, when asked, presumably humorously, if there was any danger of his marriage going down a similar road. "I've been with my wife 37 years, and I'm in love with her. I ain't goin' nowhere."
"That's a freakin' miracle," he said. "And I just don't feel the urge to go try something new. And I happen to know that he's hanging out with somebody that's a purely poisonous predator now. And that's karma. He's gonna get hurt. But I understand why it happened. I'm just sad about it. I'm always sad when I see love get tossed in the gutter."
Hannah, 53, famously dated John F. Kennedy Jr. before he married Carolyn Bessette, and had a long relationship with singer Jackson Browne, who like Neil Young is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
