UPDATE: VIP Room rep R. Couri Hay tells E! News in a statement, "Chris Brown came to VIP ROOM for a Fashion Week Party that the singer hosted on Wednesday, September 10th. Brown and a group of his friends were seated to the right of the DJ booth. An incident unrelated to Chris Brown occurred between two patrons, approximately 50 feet away from Brown and his group.

At approximately 2:45 a.m., a male patron, who has yet to be identified, attempted to pour a beer over another person. It's our understanding that a bottle of beer shattered on a column and a shard of glass caused a minor laceration to another patron's eye. The guest with the injury left the venue without notifying club management or security. Security promptly removed the patron who had been holding the beer bottle from the club. No arrests were made.

Chris Brown was completely oblivious to the incident and had nothing to do with what transpired nor was he or any of his group affected in anyway. VIP ROOM is cooperating with the police and their investigation."

________

Was Chris Brown involved in another bar brawl?!

Earlier today, reports surfaced claiming the 25-year-old singer and a group of his friends were involved in a fight at NYC nightclub VIP Room early Thursday morning. The reports even claimed one person involved in the scuffle was seriously injured.

Despite the rumors, Brown's rep confirms to E! News that neither the pop star nor any of his guests were involved in the incident. The NYPD also separately confirmed to E! that Brown wasn't in the fight.

A source adds that a fight did happen but it was at a table across where Brown and his group were sitting.

Brown took to Twitter today to deny taking any part in the incident. "There was no brawl involving me or anyone from my camp last night at VIP room," he wrote. "The devil is in full effect at all times. God is the way."

The new round of bar brawl rumors comes just a few weeks after music mogul Suge Knight was shot at during Brown's VMA pre-party in Hollywood.
