When the new season of The Biggest Loser premieres tonight, the show is going to look a lot different than what fans are used to.

The theme of season 16 is Biggest Loser: Glory Days, and all 20 contestants are former athletes, including NFL players and Olympic gold medalists, who, for various reasons, have lost their athleticism over time and are committed to getting themselves back in shape and change their lives for the better.

But in addition to a new theme for the contestants, there is also a huge change-up on the trainer side of things. Jillian Michaels will not be a trainer, choosing to exit the show once again. Replacing her are new trainers Jessie Pavelka and Jennifer Widerstrom, as well as returning trainers Dolvett Quince and Bob Harper, who is taking on a new role as the trainer of "Comeback Canyon," where contestants are given a second chance at life on the show after being eliminated. Instead of going home, they will be whisked away to a secret location to be trained by Harper, competing at a separate, secret weekly weigh-in for the chance to return to the main competition.

What is your favorite guilty pleasure treat?
I like a good pint of beer and have been known to throw down some of my son's Oreos on weekends and then blame others for the damage...I may have a problem :)

What is your favorite healthy snack?
I make a mean bowl of popcorn with organic corn, nutritional yeast, walnut oil and Himalayan Salt. The key is to put the nutritional yeast in directly after the corn has popped while the pan is still hot so that it bakes it.  If you are a popcorn fan...it's heavenly...similar to a burnt white cheddar.

What is your go-to cardio?
I love a good hike. Nature rocks and when you can combine the great outdoors with your exercise, the benefits are amazing. I also love throwing weights around with the occasional grunt.

What do you listen to/watch when you work out? 
It depends on the exercise. I find exercise, while physical, to be a very emotional experience...almost like dancing. I could be jamming to The National or some Citizen Cope or taking it slow, easy and thought-provoking with some Hammock or Explosions In The Sky.  Maroon 5's rad as well. 

What is your favorite TV show on now?
Blacklist
...gotta love James Spader.

What is your favorite TV show of all time (past or present)?
I am going to sound clichéd, but Breaking Bad was pretty damn amazing. I was slightly addicted to it. 

What is your favorite movie?
Loved The Big Lebowski for the laughs, but was extremely impressed with what James Cameron did visually with Avatar...it was a real movie theatre experience.

What book are you reading right now?
Thanks to my son, Rowan, Dr. Seuss's Oh, The Places You'll Go and Sharks! It's my son's bedtimes stories. There was/is much to be learned from Mr. Dr. Seuss.  Before that, The Life of Pi.

What magazine(s) do you subscribe to?
Horse and Hound

Which singer/band are you obsessed with right now?
Iron and Wine

Last vacation you took? 
Amsterdam and Prague where my family is originally from.  Such a beautiful city.  

What is the most surprising thing you keep in your gym bag?
A plethora of Legos from my son...no idea how he gets them in there or why—or why I never seem to get around to cleaning them out...priorities, I guess.

Do you prefer running outside or running on the treadmill?
I'm an outdoor man. Always prefer the outdoors. 

What are you most excited about this season on The Biggest Loser?
Being a part of the experience and the lives of the contestants who painstakingly are willing to be courageous and vulnerable both physically and mentally. 

What is your biggest tip for people that want to lose weight?
Fall in love with the feeling you get from exercise and food and don't obsess over numbers. Sustained weight loss is a side effect of falling in love with the feeling and yourself.

What is your favorite guilty pleasure treat?
A chocolate long john doughnut!

What is your favorite healthy snack?
Two boiled eggs with a little Himalayan sea salt.

What is your go-to cardio?
I don't do cardio.

What do you listen to/watch when you work out?
I used to always watch CSI: Las Vegas episodes while I worked out, however when it comes to music it just depends on what mood I'm in, but I love Ben Harper, Mumford and Sons, all the way to Aerosmith and Eminem

What is your favorite TV show on now?
I've been watching The Strain and love it!

What is your favorite TV show of all time (past or present)?
Modern Family
. Hands down. 

What is your favorite movie?
That's just way too hard to choose, however I do not think Braveheart will ever be topped. 

What book are you reading right now?
Many Lives, Many Masters.

What magazine(s) do you subscribe to?
Muscle and Fitness. Women's Health.

Last concert you went to see?
Soundgarden
and Nine Inch Nails at the Hollywood Bowl!

Last vacation you took?
Chicago for St. Paddy's Day.

What is the most surprising thing you keep in your gym bag?
I don't think anything in there is surprising…I do always keep lip gloss, Tiger Balm, and extra hair ties!

Do you prefer running outside or running on the treadmill?
I don't prefer to run at all. Ha!

Do you prefer biking stationary or outdoors?
For a good workout I say biking inside because when I do an outdoor ride I get too distracted and I haphazardly pedal. 

What are you most excited about this season on The Biggest Loser?
Building relationships with the contestants. Every single one of them are incredible athletes so we have a blast training, but they are such special human beings as well. This is by far my favorite part. 

What is your biggest tip for people that want to lose weight? 
Consistency. Consistency. Consistency!...That and just to know yourself. Know your triggers, know what you love to do and do that more, know what food you enjoy and invest in learning how to incorporate them in a healthy way.

What is your favorite guilty pleasure treat?
Sweets. I love cake!

What is your favorite healthy snack?
My favorite healthy snack would be my famous spinach chip recipe. You can find it in my book, The 3-1-2-1 Diet.

What is your go-to cardio?
My go-to cardio would have to be running or hiking.

What do you listen to/watch when you work out?
I like new music and rap. Nine times outta 10, that's what's in the headphones.

What is your favorite TV show on now?
My favorite show right now to watch is Power on Starz! It's the modern day New Jack City.

What is your favorite TV show of all time (past or present)?
Fave show of all time is a toss-up between Sopranos vs. Game of Thrones

What is your favorite movie?
My favorite movie…too many to name! 

What book are you reading right now?
I'm currently reading The Untethered Soul. It's a self-analysis book. Love it!

What magazine(s) do you subscribe to?
I subscribe to GQ, Essence, and Entrepreneur magazines

Which singer/band are you obsessed with right now?
I'm feeling Sam Smith right now.  His voice is amazing and his songs are well written. Let's not forget Majid Jordan too. 

Last concert you went to see?
On the Run, Jay-Z & Beyoncé 

Last vacation you took?
Last vacation was Cabo. Great memories.

What is the most surprising thing you keep in your gym bag?
The most surprising thing I keep in my gym bag is an extra pair of underwear. You never know, you might sweat the last pair away! 

Do you prefer running outside or running on the treadmill?
I love people-watching but indoor people-watching, so treadmill for me. Besides, it's kinder on the knees! 

Do you prefer biking stationary or outdoors?
Now biking, that's another story. Outdoors def. Try it at night! One word: liberating!! :) 

What are you most excited about this season on The Biggest Loser?
I'm excited for everyone to get know my new co-trainers. They are great at what they do! 

What is your biggest tip for people that want to lose weight?
The key is in the kitchen, if you train the way you eat, you can regain control of your body. Oh yes, and workout like a beast too!

What is your favorite guilty pleasure treat?
Nachos, without a doubt!

What is your favorite healthy snack? |Almond Butter and a crisp apple. YUM!

What is your go-to cardio? I love CROSSFIT. The best workout I've ever done!!

What do you listen to/watch when you work out?
Right now it's all about a band Clean Bandit. #obsessed

What is your favorite TV show on now?
Would have to be either Ray Donovan or Big Brother. #polaropposites

What is your favorite TV show of all time (past or present)?
That's a hard one!  Breaking Bad was a perfectly crafted series from begin until the end. The writers had a vision from the first episode until the end and it really showed. 

What is your favorite movie?
Another HARD ONE!! Here are a couple. The Breakfast Club. Ordinary People. Lord of the Rings trilogy. Moulin Rouge. I CAN'T PICK ONE!

What book are you reading right now?
Obsessed with all of Gillian Flynn's books. Sharp Objects was my favorite. 

What magazine(s) do you subscribe to?
Men's Health, Elle Décor, Time

Which singer/band are you obsessed with right now?
Love Clean Bandit, The Weeknd, Jungle and Hozier

Last concert you went to see?
Robyn
and Rokysopp at The Hollywood Bowl. AMAZING!!!

Last vacation you took?
Paris. My favorite place in the world. 

What is the most surprising thing you keep in your gym bag?
A mouth guard. I use it when I'm lifting heavy weight because I've chipped my tooth in the past. 

Do you prefer running outside or running on the treadmill?
I hate running but it has to be outdoors. I don't want to feel like a hamster in a wheel. 

Do you prefer biking stationary or outdoors?
Always outdoors unless I'm doing a SoulCycle class!!

What are you most excited about this season on The Biggest Loser?
Comeback Canyon!!  It is gonna be ground breaking this season. New and fresh!

What is your biggest tip for people that want to lose weight? 
Cut out as much processed food as possible. #sugaristhedevil
