It's the crossover that fans have been waiting more than a decade for.

On Sept. 28, Fox's two biggest animated hits, Family Guy and The Simpsons, will come together for a major TV event: The Simpsons Guy! For the first time ever, the Simpsons family and the Griffin gang will share the screen when the latter accidentally finds themselves in Springfield.

While Fox has already gifted eager fans with five minutes of footage from the one-hour crossover, which serves as Family Guy's season 13 premiere, the network has just released new photos from the sure-to-be epic event.

So what can fans expect? A violent showdown between Homer Simpson and Peter Griffin! Bart Simpson and Stewie Griffin skateboarding together! Donuts!

Seriously, what more can you ask for from a crossover between these two shows? Oh, how about a special cameo by yet another fan favorite Fox animated character as Bob from Bob's Burgers will also be making an appearance.

And after its crossover with Family Guy, fans of The Simpsons can expect a crossover with Futurama, which will air in November.

Back when the crossover was first announced, the patriarchs of both families issued statements, teasing an eventual showdown. "Fox hasn't spent this much money since they took Simon Cowell tight T-shirt shopping," Peter said, while Homer added: "Finally I can get my hands on this guy!"

The Simpsons Guy will air on Sunday, Sept. 28 on Fox.
