Pregnancy hormones didn't overwhelm Carrie Underwood Tuesday.

So why was the country singer crying at the 8th Annual ACM Honors at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium?

Wearing a pink-and-white gown with a belt above her tiny baby bump, Underwood got emotional as she accepted the Gene Weed Special Achievement Award. The honor recognized her stellar recording career, in addition to her charity endeavors and acting work in NBC's live production of The Sound of Music. "I was getting misty-eyed sitting in the audience," the 31-year-old American Idol winner said. "I had all kinds of stuff to say you guys and it's all gone. I am so honored and so thankful and so blessed."

Underwood also thanked her husband, professional hockey player Mike Fisher, and her team. Fellow Oklahoma natives The Swon Brothers sang a medley of Underwood's "See You Again" and "Wasted."

The event marked the first time Underwood and Fisher have attended a red carpet event since revealing their baby news. The singer and Nashville Predators player were married in Greensboro, Ga., in 2010.

The "Good Girl" singer later joked about her demeanor. "Had such a great night at the ACM Honors!" she wrote on Instagram. "Now everyone can go back to making fun of me for crying during my speech!"

What's next for Underwood? On Nov. 5, she and Brad Paisley will host the 48th Annual CMA Awards.
