It sure sounds like Ed Sheeran is pulling a Taylor Swift!

While promoting his new album X on the Howard Stern Show, the talented singer couldn't avoid the question every fan is begging to find out: Who inspired the hit song "Don't"?

"It was a dude from One Direction, right?" Howard Stern asked without any hesitation.

"The papers say a lot of things. I have kept my mouth shut about everything," Sheeran said. "I didn't really come out of that situation upset. I was just pissed off. I just thought it was a bit disrespectful."

Doesn't sound like a denial, right?

In the song, Sheeran sings about a girl who cheated on him with another guy in the same hotel.

"I never intended to be next/ But you didn't need to take him to bed that's all," he sings. "And I never saw him as a threat/ Until you disappeared with him to have sex of course/ It's not like we were both on tour/ We were staying on the same f--king hotel floor."

Fans have speculated for months that One Direction's Niall Horan was the one caught cheating with Sheeran's girl.

And with further questioning, Sheeran admitted that he confronted the man in question after the incident and informed him that he was breaking some serious bro code.

"It's a difficult conversation to have," Sheeran said. "He was my mate, so I was just a bit like, 'Umm, not cool.'"

Listen to the audio for yourself below and make your own conclusions. But warning to the young Ed fans, no Howard Stern interview isn't complete without some inappropriate language.
