Watch: Ruth Wilson and Josh Jackson's Steamy Introduction

As any Dawson's Creek fan can tell you, there are really only two kinds of people in this world: Pacey fans and Dawson fans. Including Joshua Jackson's costars!

We're predicting it now: Showtime's The Affair is the coolest new show hitting the small screen this fall, and people will not be able to stop talking about its bold storytelling structure as it recounts the illicit affair of Noah (Dominic West) and Alison (Ruth Wilson) from both of their point-of-views. So is what we're seeing happen in their his and her's flashbacks actually real or just their contorted view of things? Who is actually telling the truth? That's just part of the fun.

And part of the fun for star Ruth Wilson? Getting to make out with Jackson, who plays her husband, as she was a Dawson's Creek fan long before she was sharing steamy sex scenes with the artist formerly known as Pacey Witter.

So yeah, don't you totally get why Wilson is one of our new small screen obsessions this Fall? Not only is she completely mesmerizing as Alison, a Montauk waitress experiencing major marital woes after a tragedy, but she's also Team Pacey, something we bonded over when we chatted with her at the 2014 Summer TCA Press Tour. What more can a TV reporter ask for?!

"I was Pacey, definitely Pacey. I was always Pacey, not Dawson," she assured us, fellow proud card-carrying Team Pacey members, adding, "I grew up with Pacey and grew up with Dawson's Creek, so I often call him Pacey, actually, by mistake!"

And as Pacey fans ourselves, we nearly fell over after hearing Wilson recount her first time meeting Jackson. "I think we had to rehearse a sex scene, actually," she said. "That was the first time I met him actually. It was quite surreal!"

Check out the rest of our interview above to hear Wilson's thoughtful response to all of the nudity on television these days, just another reason why she's totally our new crush.

The Affair premieres Oct. 12 on Showtime.
