It took two years, but Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards are finally on the same page.

The estranged exes have reached an agreement in their hard-fought custody battle, a deal that, while undisclosed, supposedly has both actors smiling.

"It is true that an agreement has been reached between the parties regarding their children," Richards' rep, Jill Fritzo, said in a statement to E! News. "Denise is happy with the agreement and believes that it is in the best interests of their children. Although the parties have agreed that neither one will discuss the specific terms of the agreement, Denise is satisfied that the agreement has dealt with all of her concerns."

While just a few months ago Richards was looking to cut into Sheen's time with their two young daughters as much as possible—she petitioned in September to stop all overnight visits at the Two and a Half Men star's home and was objecting to his motion for permission to hire his own childcare providers—people close to Sheen are saying he's superpleased about the way the ball bounced.

Sheen's attorney couldn't immediately be reached for comment, but one source told Extra that the case has been settled in his favor.

The apparent burying of the hatchet comes four months after Sheen denied what he called "absurd" settlement rumors, calling a tabloid report that he had acquiesced to Richards' demands "derisive fiction."

Most recently, the sitcom star had trouble with his ex-spouse's decision to participate, along with daughters Sam, 3, and Lola, 2, in an upcoming E! reality series, but a judge gave Richards the go-ahead in January. Unspecified ground rules were laid with regard to filming the minor children. (E! Online is a division of E! Entertainment Television.)

Richards first filed for divorce in March 2005, after nearly three years of holy-ish matrimony. They announced their reconciliation later that year but by January 2006, the Wild Things star was moving ahead with her petition. A judge signed off on the split in November 2006.

On what has been a consistently brighter note for Sheen, all is well between him and fiancée Brooke Mueller, and he has said that they're planning to tie the knot this summer.
