Britney Spears is back in the studio, y'all!

The pop princess made the announcement via her Instagram account on Thursday, posting an adorable snapshot of herself recording what we presume is bound to be a new hit single.

"Studio today! Yay!" the newly single songstress captioned the super-cute shot in which she's flashing a peace sign while sporting a cropped pink tank and a pair of black shorts.

Spears released her eighth studio album, Britney Jean, on Nov. 29, 2013. The record debuted just over 10 months after her breakup with former fiancé Jason Trawick

And considering Spears recently split with David Lucado, we can only wonder...is new breakup music on the horizon?

Here's hoping, since it seems that Spears does her best work post-split. The powerhouse pop star released In the Zone after her breakup with Justin Timberlake, and she debuted Blackout after her split with Kevin Federline (which means we can only imagine what kind of musical magic the blond beauty must be makin').

The 32-year-old star announced her breakup with Lucado last week, taking to Twitter to write, ""Ahhhh the single life!" She later confirmed during her concert in Las Vegas that her former beau cheated on her, telling the audience "So I know you know my boyfriend cheated on me. But the best thing about being cheated on is I get to go on more first dates," she said before adding, "OMG, OMG, I need a hot guy. Where are the hot guys here tonight?"

Werk, bitch!

While Spears will certainly have no trouble finding a man, in the meantime, she's leaning on her pals for support and is currently enjoying a fun-filled girls weekend in Las Vegas.

"Hanging with my original posse - Laura Lynne, Jansen & Cortney! Girls weekend in Vegas!" she captioned a cute pic with her crew (Laura Lynne is Britney's cousin while Jansen and Cortney are her childhood friends) in which they enjoying a little fun in the sun in addition to indulging in some fine dining.

What's more, a source also told E! News that Spears showed no signs of sadness during a recent performance in Sin City, noting that "she was full of energy and put on a great show."

Single and ready to mingle, indeed.
