Game of Thrones recently added quite a few names to its already-huge roster of characters for season five...but now the hugely-popular HBO series is actually losing two fan favorites!

Fans of the fantasy series were rocked today when cast member Kristian Nairn—who plays the loveable giant Hodor—shockingly spilled the beans in an interview with Yahoo! that he, along with Isaac Hempstead-Wright, who plays paralyzed Stark kid Bran, will not be returning next season.

Now, don't worry, Game of Thrones fans. This news doesn't mean that Hodor and Bran are being recast (ahem, like this person), or their characters are going to be killed off (at least, that we know of, but don't assume anything when it comes to author George R.R. Martin!). It merely means that their characters aren't being featured on the show in season five.

"We have a season off and we have a year's hiatus, solely because I imagine our storyline is up to the end of the books," Nairn reveals. "So I get my year off now to do Rave of Thrones and gallivant all over the world."

And for those wondering what on earth "Rave of Thrones" is, Nairn is talking about his DJing career, where he tours and throws huge Game of Thrones-themed dance parties. It's as awesome as it sounds. We really want to go to one of his shows.

The last time fans saw Bran and Hodor, they had just reached Bran's mysterious three-eyed raven mentor, and as book-readers know, that's pretty much as far as those characters have gotten in Martin's novels. So this is your weekly reminder to type faster and give us more books, Martin! Please?

Game of Thrones returns for season five in 2015.
