Was Denise Richards targeted in the recent celebrity nude photo leak?

The 43-year-old Wild Things and Starship Troopers actress, former Bond girl and mother of three said on her Twitter page Wednesday—three days after a shocking "photo dump" of scores of personal, stolen photos of actresses such as Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton—that she received and ignored emailed requests to reveal sensitive data, which also carried a threat.

"Had over 10emails sent 2 me asking for my password & if I didn't reply with the info my accounts would be shut down," she said. "Good thing I didn't send."

The recent photo leak, one of the largest breaches of celebrity privacy, caught the attention of the FBI. Apple said on Tuesday that "certain celebrity accounts were compromised by a very targeted attack on user names, passwords and security questions."

Richards did not specify when she received the emails, which appears to be reminiscent of common phishing mailings, or hacker-created spam aimed at obtaining people's login information, often in order to gain access to financial accounts.
