We can just add this as another cautionary tale for texting and driving. Before this day, we could only say things like, "It could kill you to text and drive." Or "You could kill someone else if you text and drive."

Now we can officially say: "You could end up with a pole in your ass if you text and drive."

Colorado woman Christina Jahnz recently got into a car accident that resulted in her getting a metal pole impaled through her butt and upper thigh. The cause of the wreck? Texting and driving.

Jahnz told 9News that she had just left her daughter's middle school and was "running late for a business meeting" when the accident occurred.

"I did a voice text. I looked down to make sure it was all right. The next thing I knew, I was looking up, there was white powder from the air bags deployed," she said.

When emergency crews arrived, they found Jahnz impaled by a piece of guardrail that had gone through the truck's headlight, through her butt and thigh and piercing the seat behind her. She was reportedly only going 20 mile per hour.

Firefighters were able to get her out using a saw and surgeons have removed the pole without permanent damage. Four days later she left the hospital with a temporary walker and she is expected to make a full recovery.

In short: this woman was extremely, extremely lucky. And she knows it.

"I'm truly a miracle. They said if it [had] gone just a little bit the other way I would have bled out," Jahnz said. "It's devastating knowing that I could have prevented it to begin with. I just hope my story helps to save the lives of others. Don't text and drive."

We repeat: STOP TEXTNG AND DRIVNG!
