Actress' disheveled look "isn't even fueled by one ounce of alcohol"

Look, we can't all be Beyoncé.

Lena Dunham proved that notion when she shared an unflattering selfie via Instagram Friday. After a day of press events with Kate Mara in Venice, Italy, the platinum blond Girls actress woke up looking a little worse for wear. "Is this what Beyoncé was singing about?" asked Dunham, her makeup smeared.

(She was, of course, referring to the song "***Flawless.")

Dunham added that it's "pretty depressing that this look isn't even fueled by one ounce of alcohol."

The 28-year-old star also poked fun at her appearance on Twitter, writing, " Realizing I have some of the very specific physical attributes of a woman on trial for killing her much older husband and that's hard."

Love her or hate her, she's got a great sense of humor!

Yesterday, the two-time Golden Globe winner attended the Miu Miu Women's Tales #7 – #8 premiere. "Best red carpet ever w/ @lenadunham @MIUMIUofficial when a poster fell on our heads while we tried to be sultry…" Mara, 31, tweeted. Dunham replied, "Unlike most things, this was truly SHOCKING."
