Talk about a tight guest list!
Jon Voight was not among the friends and family who attended Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's wedding Saturday. In fact, when E! News caught up with him during Audi's Emmy week celebration Aug. 21, Voight joked about the ceremony's date, saying, "You guys have been announcing it for four years now!"
When his daughter married Pitt at Château Miraval in France two days later, Voight was overseas in L.A., where the Ray Donovan star attended the Variety and Women in Film Emmy nominee event and the Television Academy's 66th Annual Emmy performers nominee reception. He also walked the red carpet at Showtime's soiree on Sunday. The next night, he attended HBO's afterparty and the Governors Ball.
Regardless, the 75-year-old is still happy for the newlyweds. "It sounds like it was a wonderful wedding. It must have been very beautiful with the kids participating. I know it was during Emmy weeks and they were able to do it very quietly," he told E! News in a statement Thursday. "I'm very happy for them."

The Mr. & Mrs. Smith co-stars wed in a small chapel in the French village of Correns. Prior to the stars' nondenominational civil ceremony, Jolie and Pitt obtained a marriage license from a local California judge, who also conducted the wedding ceremony in France. The six Jolie-Pitt kids— Maddox, 13, Pax, 11, Zahara, 9, Shiloh, 8, and twins Knox and Viviennne, 6—were all involved in their parents' wedding.
Jolie's wedding dress was said to be "very traditional, but very Angie," a source told E! News. "It was comfortable but plain white floor-length antique lace and silk." The designer has yet to be confirmed.
The Oscar winner, 39, "definitely wore something that once belonged to [her late mother] Marcheline Bertrand." According to a source, that item was a "small gold locket with a photo of her mom inside it."
Jolie also "had a veil," and when Pitt, 50, "lifted it [he] gasped because she looked so stunning."
