We are still trying to accept the fact that Hello Kitty is not a cat, because what the heck?
In case you missed it, University of Hawaii anthropologist Christine R. Yano, who has been studying the iconic character that made its debut in 1974, told the L.A. Times, "That's one correction Sanrio made for my script for the show. Hello Kitty is not a cat. She's a cartoon character. She is a little girl. She is a friend. But she is not a cat."
Sanrio confirmed the bombshell by simply stating, "Hello Kitty is not a cat, she's a girl."
That clearly gave us trust issues, and we began to think about celebs whose names are very misleading, like Seal or Cat Deeley, for example. He's not actually a Seal. She's not actually a Cat. Who else is lying to the world?!
