ABCWe're still reeling from the news that we could be getting more Full House.
Yesterday we were gifted with the announcement that a Full House revival is reportedly in the works with much of the original cast on board, and it's pretty much the greatest idea ever. Everyone—John Stamos, original Full House executive producer Bob Boyett and creator Jeff Franklin, Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, Andrea Barber, Bob Saget and Dave Coulier—is involved except for Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen and Lori Loughlin, and while nothing is official yet, we are so down with this idea, dude.
But then we started thinking...out of all the TGIF shows from that golden era of TV, is Full House the one we want revived, or is there another TGIF show we'd rather see come back? What is the ultimate TGIF show? (For those asking "What is TGIF?," it was ABC's glorious family-friendly Friday night programming block. Also, sorry about your childhood.)
Because we can't let this question go unanswered (you're so welcome), we decided to move Flashback Friday up a few days and rank the best TGIF shows to find out the ultimate number one show!
11. Hangin' With Mr. Cooper (1992-1997)
Growing up, we always wished our substitute teachers and gym coaches were Mr. Cooper. Plus, baby Raven-Symoné! Hangin' With Mr. Cooper really had everything, including an awesome slang title.
10. Dinosaurs (1991-1994)
Think The Simpsons, but instead of yellow cartoon people there were dinosaurs*. Genius! Dinosaurs told the story of the Sinclair family. In classic sitcom format there was the buffoon father Earl, loving mother Fran, eldest son Robbie, daughter Charlene and Baby Sinclair, a catchphrase-spouting machine. From the mind of Jim Henson to our TV sets, Dinosaurs ran for four seasons and remains a venerable part of 1990s pop culture. And in case you forgot: "I'm the baby, gotta love me!" "Not the mama!"

9. Clueless (ABC: 1996-1997, UPN: 1997-1999)
This series would be higher on our list if only everyone from the cult classic film of the same name returned for the show. However, seeing as how Alicia Silverstone didn't reprise the titular character and Paul Rudd didn't return as her love interest, everything just felt…off. The show was pretty much just a virgin who can't drive.
8. Two of a Kind (1998-1999)
For their Full House follow-up, the Olsen twins gifted the world with one season of this underrated sitcom, which starred the icons (don't argue) as Mary-Kate and Ashley Burke (huge stretch!), identical twins who are polar opposites. (M.K. is a tomboy, Ashley is a Straight-A-getting Goody Two-shoes.) The series focused on their life with their widowed father Kevin, played by Christopher Sieber, and their quirky and beautiful babysitter Carrie (Sally Wheeler), who was also one of Kevin's students. Of course, the girls want the two to get together, leading to SHENANIGANS. Still, the series had a lot of heart, and fun supporting characters, like student/pizza delivery guy/Burke house loiterer Paul, played by Ernie Grunwald, aka It Takes Two's Harry Butkis! (Bonus: Most episodes are available in their entirety on YouTube. So long, to-do list, you never stood a chance!)
7. Step by Step (ABC: 1991-1997, CBS: 1997-1998)
Patrick Duffy and Suzanne Somers in a retread of The Brady Bunch? How could this not be great? Step by Step was classic family fun, but there was always an edge, thanks to the Lambert crew of kids. Spunky Al, troublemaker J.T., missing Brendan...Those were the good old days.
6. Sister, Sister (ABC: 1994-1995, The WB: 1995-1999)
The cult classic show that gave us teen twin wonders Tia and Tamera Mowry was almost killed before it really picked up steam. ABC canceled the series after only one season due to low ratings, but thankfully the still-infant WB picked up the series for an additional four seasons. We can all thank The WB for helping cement the epic Sister, Sister theme song in our brains. Permanently.
5. Family Matters (ABC: 1989-1997, CBS: 1997-1998)
The Perfect Strangers spinoff is way better than the original series because it gave us the gift of Steve Urkel, played by Jaleel White. Revolving around the Winslow family in Chicago, we loved watching the nerdy next-door neighbor slowly become the focus of the show. Admit it, you break out the line, "Did I do that?!" as much as possible.
4. Sabrina, the Teenage Witch (1996-2003)
Before Harry Potter ever lifted his first wand, this was the show that made witchcraft cool. Melissa Joan Hart's Sabrina was officially the envy of teenage girls everywhere, and if you didn't immediately start begging your parents to buy a black cat then we're pretty sure we wouldn't have been friends with you.
3. 8 Simple Rules (2002-2005)
Originally called 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter, this was the ultimate show for families with teenagers. Starring John Ritter as the best TV dad ever, the show famously incorporated his sudden and tragic death on-screen, showing how a family deals with grief and loss beautifully and gracefully. However, after the loss of Ritter, the show suffered despite bringing on James Garner and David Spade in series-regular roles and was canceled due to low ratings. And sorry, The Big Bang Theory, but Bridget Hennessy will always be Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting's greatest role.
2. Full House (1987-1995)
The Tanner family was just the best, and we'd do unspeakable things to make sure the revival gets greenlighted. (If only to get John Stamos back on our TV screens on a weekly basis, because dayum, he's like a fine wine…keeps on getting better with age!) But it's actually not the ultimate TGIF show. 1. Boy Meets World (1993-2000)
Yes, Boy Meets World was recently given new life via Disney Channel series Girl Meets World (Proving that a TGIF revival is a safe bet, seeing as it's a huge success already!), but let's be honest, we all want to see the original Matthews family all together again like the good old days. We want to hear Eric doing the Feeny call. We want to see Shawn hitting on any and all females that walk past him. We want to see Cory and Shawn up to crazy shenanigans. Hey, we'll even take getting an update on what Morgan's been up to this entire time!
