I apologize for the comment and wish I had a chance to review the revised script so that I could have avoided participating in that segment...I love that Blue is able to wear her natural hair. I laugh when I am nervous and when I registered what I had just said, I of course was taken aback."
Additionally, BET's President of Music Programming and Specials, Stephen Hill, took to social media today to apolgoize for the offense and asked that people not "hate on Karrueche; it was NOT her fault. We also apologize to her for putting her in that position."

This is a good example of a joke gone wrong.
Chris Brown's longtime on-again, off-again girlfriend Karrueche Tran is currently on the receiving-end of the Beyhive's stinger after making a joke about Blue Ivy's hair on BET's 106 & Park. Appearing as a guest co-host, Tran poked fun at Beyoncé's daughter's curls during a segment on the top six list of things that Blue Ivy thought about during the MTV Video Music Awards segment (aside from, "I'm so adorable," obviously).
Tran said, "I really did wake up like this because my parents didn't comb my hair. Sorry, Blue! I love you!"
That didn't sit well with Bey fans, who all took to social media to slam Karrueche. So the young model responded to the backlash on Twitter as an attempt to untangle the hairy mess surrounding her unsuccessful crack. "Now y'all know I LOVE me some Beyoncé and Blue Ivy! I didn't write this script y'all lol," she wrote. "I am definitely team #BeyHive."
This isn't the first time Blue's hair was the center of controversy. A New York woman named Jasmine Tolliver recently created a Change.org petition requesting that music moguls take better care of their 2-year-old's tresses.
In the absurd appeal, titled "Comb Her Hair," she wrote, "As a woman who understands the importance of hair care. It's disturbing to watch a child suffering from the lack of hair moisture. The parents of Blue Ivy. Sean Carter A.K.A Jay-Z and Beyoncé has failed at numerous attempts of doing Blue Ivy Hair. This matter has escalated to the child developing matted dreads and lint balls. Please let's get the word out to properly care for Blue Ivy hair."
India Arie heard about this suggestion and was (rightfully) angry that anyone would trash talk the appearance of Blue or any kid.
"Why does ANYone get the idea that its ok to make fun of a child?" the "Cocoa Butter" singer asks in a TwitLonger post. "In public no less? This celebrity culture that hypnotizes people into thinking a person is LITERALLY NOT REAL because you see them on television is a spell the watcher HIM or HER SELF MUST BREAK."
"Blue Ivy—is a CHILD," she reiterates, telling those who might think her priviledged upbringing makes it OK to slam her to stop "DENYING any person their humanity..."
