Breaking Bad went out with a bang.

The AMC hit racked up five awards, including Outstanding Drama Series, at the 66th Primetime Emmy Awards Monday. Bryan Cranston, who was named Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his role as Walter White, spoke candidly about his victory—and his kiss with Julia Louis-Dreyfus—with E! News after Monday's show.

Though he won the award in 2008, 2009 and 2010, the actor admitted he still "can't" comprehend how well the show has been received. "You just have to give your appreciation to what's happened," he explained.

"Seven years ago, no one knew who we were or cared. It's all about storytelling," Cranston, 58, added. "Every single human being on this planet wants to be told a good story, and that's what we tried to do."

"It was a joy—it was a gift—to be able to play Walter White," he said.

Before he racked up his fourth win in the category, Cranston shared a memorable moment with Louis-Dreyfus, who won the third consecutive Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for Veep. "I know you are a wanted man, but you were passing out a lot of kisses tonight," E!'s Catt Sadler told Cranston.

"My lips have been yearning for some action," he joked.

Though they're both married, she told Cranston, "You'd be my hall pass."

Sadler also spoke to Aaron Paul, who was awarded Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his role as Jesse Pinkman. Though he's "sad" the show is over, the actor added, "I've been very blessed."

Last week, Paul organized a scavenger hunt for fans of the series; the event occurred just hours before the Emmys. "I thought it was very fitting. It was so fun," Paul, 34, told E! News. "This show would not exist without the fans. The fans, and really the critics, kept us on the air and we wanted to give back."
