We can never (we repeat: NEVER) get enough of comedian Amy Poehler. So when she presented an award at the 2014 Emmys, our hearts were filled with joy. Not only does she constantly manage to look stunning on red carpets, but she's got one of the best senses of humor in Hollywood.
Seth Meyers, the event's host, kicked off the event before introducing Poehler, who presented for the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series category. He introduced Pohler in the best way: "Please welcome my beautiful and talented friend, Beyoncé!"
As if Poehler's introduction wasn't enough, she continued on with some hysterical one-liners.
Before presenting Modern Family actor Ty Burrell with his award, Poehler somehow managed to keep a straight face while presenting this made-up category: "I am honored to announced the first award of the evening: Best Onscreen Orgasm in a Civil War Reenactment."
And later, when Poehler was joined by Meyers to introduce Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson to the stage, they had the most incredible list, detailing possible ways to describe the pair:
"Please welcome two men who also have no idea what happened at the end of True Detective."
"Please welcome two gentlemen whose names are also items at marijuana dispensaries."
"The only actors in Hollywood not rumored to be starring in season two of True Detective."
And our personal favorite: "Please welcome two gentlemen who seem like they'd be chatty in the sack."
If only we ran the award shows.
Amy, just know in your heart we'd want you to host each and every one of them.
