The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge shows no signs of stopping!

Kate Hudson, John Mayer, Rihanna, Eminem, Tina Fey and Chris Evans joined a growing number of Hollywood stars who helped raise awareness for Lou Gehrig's disease over the weekend. In addition to filming videos, many celebrities also donated money for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis research projects.

Zach Braff, Erin Foster and Derek Hough challenged Hudson, who readily accepted. One bucket wasn't enough, however, and when it got a little too cold, the Wish I Was Here actress ran away. "I nominate Goldie Hawn, Matthew McConaughey and Muse," Hudson shouted as she got doused one last time.

Mayer agreed to participate after being nominated by Jason Becker, a musician who has ALS and can no longer play guitar. The rocker riffed on his instrument before showering himself with ice water. "That is very refreshing," Mayer said. "I would like to...re-nominate Eddie Van Halen and David Lee Roth." He also asked fans to visit www.jasonbecker.com so they can donate to Becker and his family directly.

Rihanna and Eminem closed out their Monster tour by getting wet at Comerica Park in Detroit, Mich. The 41-year-old rapper completed the challenge first, while the 26-year-old singer followed his lead.

Fey's take featured a twist. She shot her ice bucket challenge video on a Brooklyn rooftop. "I think we should do it in a wider shot so you can see more of this beautiful skyline and see that I really did it and it was really me," she said. The 30 Rock star's 8-year-old daughter, Alice Richmond, acted as her stunt double. Fey then popped in the shot with her checkbook in hand and said, "I'm just gonna donate, guys."

Chris Hemsworth put Evans to the test days ago, but he didn't meet the deadline. "I did not complete it within 24 hours, so the proper donations have been made," the Captain America: The Winter Soldier star said. He then listed his two issues with the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. The first? "If you dump ice in the bucket, immediately before dumping it on yourself, that's not ice water," he said. The second? "I keep seeing these videos with people in bathing suits, t-shirts, tank tops. For me, personally, when I bring awareness to charity, I prefer a more formal suit." He then excused himself and returned wearing a suit. Evans nominated Jamie Bell, Frank Grillo, Anthony Mackie, Octavia Spencer, Sebastian Stan and Tilda Swinton. After the actor was soaked multiple times, a chilled Evans announced, "Now that's ice water!"

Other famous participants included Minka Kelly, Mandy Moore, Jeremy Renner and Lindsey Vonn.
