Not only is Sarah Paulson's demeanor incredibly real—it's also downright refreshing.

E! News caught up with the 39-year-old beauty at the 2014 Entertainment Weekly Pre-Emmy Party in Los Angeles, where the delightful star—who is nominated for the Best Actress Emmy in a TV Movie or Mini-Series for her brilliant portrayal of Cordelia Foxx in American Horror Story: Coven—dished on her pre and post-Emmy ritual (spoiler: there's a lot of food involved) in addition to criticizing celebs who claim don't diet (in a wonderfully humorous fashion, of course).

"When it's over it's all about eating," the three-time Emmy-nominated actress candidly admitted.

As for her food of choice?

"French fries, salt and vinegar potato chips, some kind of chocolate bar, a donut, ice cream—I'm hungry!—all of the things that are quote unquote forbidden."

When it comes to her pre-Emmy prep, Paulson will also be chowing down, but unlike some other actresses, she isn't afraid to admit that she works hard to achieve her slim and fit figure.

"I'll probably eat a very big breakfast," she said with a laugh when asked how she'll spend her morning. "I really like to eat…I'll probably go to the gym."

And just like that, the thesp launched into a hilarious rant, slamming stars who refuse cop to their true eating habits.

"People who say they don't do that and they're like ‘I was out just hanging out with my friends eating a waffle' and you're like ‘No you weren't. No one eats a waffle before they go to the red carpet.' Stop lying! And you didn't lose all the weight by breastfeeding! Let's just start talking about the truth: we're all dieting and the food is being delivered, folks. That is how it happened. Period. End of story. I just can't stand it, ‘Oh it burns so many calories breastfeeding'"

See why we said she's refreshing?!

With regards to the Emmys, Paulson is all about practicality and her jitters only seem to stem from her shoes.

"All I'm thinking about is the drive and the amount of walking that's going to happen in the high shoes from where we get dropped off to when we go inside the ceremony," she confessed when asked how she's mentally preparing for TV's biggest night. "That's all that I'm thinking about. How many Advil I can take, how much I can spray with different items so that I can make them numb so I can wear the shoes I want to wear. Those are the things that I'm thinking about."

The 12 Years a Slave star, who looked stunning in a lacy black dress, also said she wore her frilly frock "because it's like an 80s prom dress."

"Who doesn't want to go to their prom when they never went the first time?" she continued, laughing, "This is the prom, dammit!"

Here's hoping that prom queen crown comes in the form of an Emmy statuette.

Good luck on Monday, Sarah!
