And we thought we'd have to wait all the way until Labor Day to watch and snark over Lifetime's Saved by the Bell movie.

We were so, so wrong.

The network just gave us a present to kick off this weekend: an early sneak peek at the first five minutes of The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story!

So go ahead, watch the beginning of the movie below:

Clearly, it's time to get Dustin Diamond's side of the story.

Diamond starred as Screech on SBTB for the entire series and is kicking his co-stars out of the spotlight to reveal what really went on behind-the-scenes of one of our all-time favorite shows between our favorite Bayside High teens...and we're pretty sure our entire childhood is about to be ruined.

The tell-all movie stars Dylan Everett as Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Sam Kindseth as Diamond, Julian Works as Mario Lopez, Alyssa Lynch as Tiffani-Amber Thiessen, Tiera Skovbye as Elizabeth Berkley and Taylor Russell McKenzie as Lark Voorhies.

The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story airs Sept. 1 at 9 p.m. on Lifetime.
