Now this is some trickery, if not exactly of the wonderful-wizarding-world variety.

50 Cent, seemingly about to take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, did away with the idea—"f--k the bucket of ice," he said, dumping his off of the veranda rather than over his head—and opted to call out Floyd Mayweather to take the "ELS challenge" instead.

""This is a special ASL-ELS challenge for you, Floyd,"  he challenged the boxing super-star from the comfort of a luxurious backyard. "If you can read one full page of a Harry Potter book...I'll give $750,000 to whatever charitable organization you want to."

"F--k the bucket of ice, man!" he punctuated his offer.

Fiddy also captioned his Instagram video, "Floyd will you except my ALS/ESL CHALLENGE: I will donate $750k to a charity of your choice, If you can read a full page out of a Harry Potter book out loud without starting and stopping or f--king up. lmao."

Well, that will certainly go down as one of the more memorable #ALSIceBucketChallenge moments, right up there with Charlie Sheen pouring cash on himself, Miley Cyrus dousing herself with rice and Robert Pattinson getting a teeny pot of ice dumped over him before another pal sprayed him with a hose.

And the girl who had just had her wisdom teeth out...

OK, there have been a lot of memorable moments this past week. Mayweather, meanwhile, already got the real Ice Bucket Challenge nod from illusionist Criss Angel yesterday and the fighter retweeted it, so...

Is that the ring of a bell we hear?
