Barely one week after E! News exclusively revealed that the Oscar winner and the Coldplay frontman have been seeing each other since late June, a source tells us that the two recently enjoyed a romantic afternoon at the Wolffer Estate Vineyard in New York, where the pair presumably celebrated Lawrence's birthday together just a few days before the actress rang in the big 2-4.
"They were there on a date," the source dished, adding that their outing took place less than two weeks ago. "They were very low-key, nobody realized who they were."
"The setting was super-romantic. They watched the sun go down together, then quietly left," the insider continued, noting that it's believed the two both sampled wines.
What's more, E! News has learned that Martin recently purchased a screen print by British-born artist Hayden Kays, which may have possibly been a birthday gift for his gorgeous gal.
"Chris Martin actually purchased this heart print by Hayden Kays on Friday," a second source tells E! News, adding that the print comes in various colors although Martin chose the "gold version." We've also been told that the artwork was purchased online and shipped to a London address for a total of around $375.
Earlier this month, E! News exclusively reported that Martin and Lawrence have been spending quality time together this summer, following the Silver Lining star's split with her X-Men co-star Nicholas Hoult.
Since the split, the parents of two have remained incredibly amicable and were even still living together at their Brentwood home in June.
"They've tried to keep things as stable and consistent as possible for their kids," a source told E! News at the time. "They spend a lot of time together as a family and haven't changed things since they announced they were splitting up. Other than taking off their wedding bands, they seem closer than ever."
Meanwhile, E! News exclusively reported in August that Lawrence called it quits with Hoult earlier this summer, with a source telling us that the breakup was "very amicable," adding that their successful careers made it difficult to find time for their relationship.
"They spent a lot of time apart because of work, and it was difficult on their relationship," the insider said.
Following the wake of reports surrounding the Chris and J.Law's budding romance, Gwyneth's BFF Jessica Seinfeld uploaded a photo of the two on Instagram, which was accompanied by a rather telling caption.
"I have never met anyone with more true and loyal best friends than this baby girl. She is deeply and intensely loved by her friends," she wrote. "I hope each of you has someone in your life that is a wise and steady North Star like this one is to so many."
