Seth Meyers knows what he does best—and that's telling jokes.

So don't expect the funnyman to be breaking out in a song or dance when he hosts for the Emmys for the first time on Monday.

"Oh, no, I won't be doing that," Meyers told me this morning at the show's official red carpet rollout in downtown L.A. "I can't sing and I can't dance. We can leave that to other people. If you're going to sing or dance at the Emmys, you have to be good at it. It's not something I want to try out on that night."

Good point.

Seth already knows what he'll be doing before the show. "After I wake up on Monday, I'll try to get some sort of exercise in, but who knows how much really," he said with a big smile. "Maybe I can grab 20 minutes of cardio."

As for eating, Seth won't be cutting it too close to showtime because he doesn't want his nerves to get the best of him. He laughed, "I think I'll have to have my last meal about three hours before."

Good luck, Seth! See you on Monday!

It was also announced at this morning's event that Billy Crystal would pay tribute to Robin Williams during the telecast.

"We felt we needed to do something powerful and memorable," said producer Don Mischer. "Billy seemed like the perfect choice."

The 2014 Emmys will air live on Monday at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on NBC.
