Justin Bieber took to Instagram on Thursday to post—and then immediately delete—a cozy pic with ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez in which he's holding the "Come and Get It" singer in his arms as she plants a heartfelt smooch on his cheek.
"Right now everything else is a blur," the 20-year-old pop star reportedly captioned the pic before quickly removing the image from his page, as he has previously done with shots of his former flame.
While it's unclear whether these two are back together again—particularly since the image is presumably a throwback pic based on the pair's attire (even Bieber doesn't wear a beanie in the summer)—the pic certainly suggests that something is going on in the world of Jelena.
In June, a source told E! News that the on-again-off-again lovebirds were giving their relationship another go. "She still loves him," the insider said. "It is hard for her to get over him because they have so much history."
"You just can't drop those feelings," the source added. "There is too much there."
The two were spotted a number of times together that same month and Bieber was even expected to attend Gomez's 22nd birthday celebration in July, but, as we've come to anticipate with the pair, their romance seemed to fizzle just as quickly as it began.
"There will forever be an emotional connection for them, but they don't have a title to their relationship," a source told E! News in July, just over a week before Gomez's birthday. "He is not her boyfriend, but the feelings are always going to be there."
The insider added that Gomez "is trying to move on with her life and focus on her."
It seemed that the brunette stunner was doing just that when she opted to celebrate her big day in the south of France alongside model Cara Delevingne, where she was even photographed getting cozy on a jet ski with a hunky new man.
Most recently, the former Disney darling attended the 2014 Teen Choice Awards, where she shed a tear as she accepted the Ultimate Choice Award and thanked her fans for reminding her "what's important."
Meanwhile, Bieber has been spotted partying it up with the Kardashian clan following his headline-making altercation with Orlando Bloom in Ibiza last month and was in attendance at Kylie Jenner's recent 17th birthday celebration.
Additionally, it was revealed on Wednesday that the "Baby" crooner had finally reached a plea deal stemming from his January arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence. The hitmaker pleaded guilty to reduced charges of misdemeanor careless driving and resisting arrest and in turn, will not face jail time. In exchange, he has been ordered to undergo a 12-hour anger management course, complete a program in which he'll meet people affected by drunk drivers, make a $50,000 charitable donation and pay fines.
