Derek Hough is officially ABC's golden boy.

Not only was it announced earlier this week that the Dancing With the Stars pro dancer will be back to compete in Season 19 of the highly-successful ABC reality series, but he also just booked a guest-starring role on the network's Southern soap, Nashville!

Now that's what we call corporate synergy, y'all!

Hough will join Nashville in a multi-episode arc as Noah West, E! News has confirmed. And the Emmy-winning choreographer tweeted his excitement over joining the series, saying he "can't wait" to join the Nashville gang.

Noah is a "beguiling and disarming" 20-something movie star who has been tapped for a leading role in the biopic of a famous country singer. So how will he fit into the lives of our favorite country crooners?

Seeing as how Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) is heading to Hollywood in an attempt to headline that very same biopic, it sounds like she and Noah are fated to butt heads, as the it boy actor, who has already been cast as her onscreen hubby, isn't going to be the biggest fan of Juliette's. Now why on Earth would he feel that way?

Add in Juliette's newly-discovered baby daddy drama since Hayden Panettiere's real-life pregnancy is being onto the show, and this season is already filled to the brim with amazing potential. Yeah, the wait for season three just got that much more difficult to endure. Can't it just be fall already?

People first reported Hough's casting.

Nashville season three kicks off with an episode filled with live musical performances on Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 10 p.m. on ABC.
