Robin Williams is getting some love from his Aladdin alter ego.

James Monroe Iglehart, who plays the Genie in the Broadway production of Aladdin in NYC, is honoring the late actor following his tragic death.

"Although I never got to meet him in person, Robin Williams has influenced my life greatly; his performance as the Genie, of course, and his entire career as a great performer and actor," Iglehart tells E! News in a statement. "I'm extremely saddened by his passing but first and foremost my heart, my thoughts and prayers go out to the Williams family. They have lost a husband and father. We as fans have lost one of the greatest entertainers ever."

In addition to his heartfelt statement, Iglehart also conducted a special in memoriam sing-along during Tuesday night's production of Aladdin. Iglehart stopped the show and lead the entire audience in singing Williams' hit Aladdin song "Friend Like Me."

After the sing-along, the crowd rose to their feet for an emotional standing ovation.
