Hollywood lost another icon today.

Lauren Bacall, the gorgeous actress with the famously husky voice, died Tuesday morning of a stroke in her longtime home in New York. She was 89. "With deep sorrow, yet with great gratitude for her amazing life, we confirm the passing of Lauren Bacall," the Bogart estate confirmed via Twitter.

In her 60-year career, Bacall went on to create memorable work that would stand the test of time, from her first movie, To Have and Have Not, alongside her future hubby Humphrey Bogart, to The Big Sleep, Dark Passage, How to Marry a Millionaire and Key Largo (to name a few).
