Chloë Grace Moretz Shares the Real Reason Why She Never Stopped Following Her Acting Dreams

Chloe Grace Moretz has made it clear that acting is a much bigger priority than teenage relationships.

It's one of the many ways the 17-year-old actress has been able to relate to her latest character, Mia Hall, in the upcoming film, If I Stay.

"One of the first things that I was able to justify and connect with on a personal level with Mia was her passion for music and how she found it at 8 years old," Moretz told E! News while promoting her highly anticipated new movie. "I found acting when I was 5 years old so we both kind of had these careers that we chose ourselves to kind of follow and follow our dreams."

She added, "We're kind of the ones that try to stay on track. We're the ones to tell ourselves to keep going and to not let anything bring you down or change you."

While rumors of a possible romance between the actress and Brooklyn Beckham have started to pop up, the actress hints that she has other things going on in her life that are far more important.

"We wouldn't give up on our one true love," Moretz shared in relation to her passion for acting and Mia's love for the cello. "No matter how much we love a guy or how much we love whoever else, we care the most about what we found first and what our one true love was first."

So does that leave no time for Brooklyn? Not exactly! In a recent interview with Company magazine, Moretz opened up about her relationship with David Beckham and Victoria Beckham's 15-year-old son.

"We SoulCycle at the same place, so [we] met a while ago and then just kinda started hanging out," she told the publication.

But before this relationship blossoms, Moretz has her guard up.

"It's a tough age to fall in love: people change so quickly," she told FLARE magazine. "I don't want to have to feel like I have to watch my step, 'cause I'm 17 and I shouldn't have to."
