Dakota Fanning stars in the new movie The Last of Robin Hood, and she also graces the September issue of Lucky magazine looking utterly high-fashion in a printed multi-colored dress.

But the 20-year-old actress was quick to admit to the glossy that she's not into hopping on the bandwagon when it comes to fashion trends. "I really want Birkenstocks, but everyone has white Birkenstocks. So it's about trying to find the color that not everyone has," she said. "You can't be a slave to what everyone else thinks looks good, because sometimes it doesn't look good on you."

She also is a self-proclaimed bad shopper: "The pressure of trying things on in a store freaks me out. I usually come back with things that don't fit."

Despite what she says, we think Dakota is looking especially chic these days. And as for her most treasured piece of clothing, it's not a Prada bag or a pair of Louboutins. It's much more sentimental: It's a shirt she got from the hospital gift shop the day her little sister Elle Fanning (now 16 years old) was born.

"It's pink with big blue letters and says ‘I'm the Big Sister.' I was so small and it was so big that it fit me forever. Now it would be like a crop top on me, which might be in fashion."

It's true; her "Big Sister" crop top is right on-trend now. She could probably even get away with wearing it on the red carpet! Well, maybe…
