Kate Upton knows how the game is played, but that doesn't make it any easier!

On Friday's Live With Kelly and Michael, the 22-year-old model talked about dropping her allegiance to the New York Yankees now that she's dating Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander!

"I used to be a really big Yankees fan," said the Other Woman star, filling for Kelly Ripa as Michael Strahan's guest co-host. But now? "I'm sleeping with the enemy!"

"My boyfriend plays for the Tigers," she went on, explaining, "I had to pick a side!"

Last Monday, Kate went to support Justin at the Yankees-Tigers game in Yankee Stadium. The former Yankees fan found things to be quite different in Yankee Stadium, though, than they used to be.

"I felt it, too, when I walked in," she said. "They specifically told me—the Yankees told me —'You're not allowed to wear a Tigers hat! You're not allowed to wear any Tigers gear. '"

"It's like a bad breakup," she added.

Fortunately, at least one Tiger is happy to have Kate on their side. As a cute, romantic gesture, boyfriend Justin tossed her a ball mid-game, causing her to smile and blush. One sportscaster who saw the cute moment declared, "It must be love!"

Well, baseball is one thing, but love most certainly is not a game!
