Julianna Margulies did something very strange last weekend—she got married on the Q.T.

The former ER star and attorney beau Keith Lieberthal swapped vows Nov. 10 in a traditional ceremony in Massachusetts.

"We're thrilled for her, and the young man she married is a wonderful person. We're proud to have him as a part of our family," Margulies' father, Paul, who was on hand to walk his little girl down the aisle, told People on Saturday.

Margulies, whose first child with Lieberthal is due in mid January, wore a flowing Narciso-Rodriguez gown and elbow-length gloves, per the magazine, while Lieberthal kept things simple in Armani black tie. The mother-to-be told People last month that, as far as her pregnancy's concerned, she's "doing great."

And while the champagne toast will have to wait, so will the honeymoon. According to the father of the bride, the newlyweds had to jet right back to California, where Margulies is working on the upcoming Fox drama Canterbury's Law, after the reception.

The hourlong series, which stars Margulies as a risk-taking defense attorney, was slated for a midseason debut, but its future—along with the futures of so many others, from freshman series like K-Ville to Emmy winner 24—is unclear, thanks to the ongoing writers' strike.

Margulies, 41, rose to fame as the enviable RN who stole George Clooney's heart off and on for six seasons on ER, before finally giving TV birth to twins and sailing away with him into the sunset in 2000.

She was nominated for a supporting-actress Emmy every year that she played Carol Hathaway, winning the trophy in 1995. She also won SAG Awards for her performance in 1998 and 1999 and shared in three wins for outstanding ensemble.

Margulies went on to star in the TV miniseries The Mists of Avalon, The Grid and The Lost Room and has appeared on the big screen in Ghost Ship, Snakes on a Plane, Evelyn and Beautiful Ohio.

Most recently, the native New Yorker guest-starred as the sexy, enabling, real-estate-peddling straw that broke the camel's back between Tony and Christopher on The Sopranos.

This is the first marriage for Margulies, who dated ER costar Ron Eldard for about 12 years, before the two parted ways in 2003.
