There were four ladies sitting at the table on The View this morning, but a familiar face was missing.

Whoopi Goldberg will presumably be there when at-home audiences bid their final farewell to Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy as cohosts of The View next week—but she missed the ladies' last live sit-down today.

But nothing strange was afoot: ABC tells E! News that Goldberg simply had a prior network commitment. Good Morning America's Ginger Zee and author Suzy Welch sat in as guest hosts.

Meanwhile, Whoopi's absence didn't put a damper on the greatest-moments montage played for Jenny, who is leaving the morning chatfest after one season. Sherri, who's leaving after seven years, will have her presumably emotional (and pretaped) goodbye on Monday.

"All I can say is, wow, I am grateful," Jenny said before they played her best clips. "Second, I've continued to do what I've tried to do in any situation I have found myself in, which is to learn. I've learned from my mentor Barbara Walters and also from my dear friend, Sherri Shepherd."

"This is a job where there's a lot of craziness going on and Jenny always comes in with a smile and is one of the nicest people to work with in this business," Sherri also said about Jenny, whom she immediately teamed up with for an Instagram photo shoot when the news broke that both were on their way out at The View.

Watch the ladies pay tender tribute to each other right here!

Sherri's final appearance as a cohost on The View this Monday will feature Arsenio Hall as a guest host and performances by Bell Biv Devoe and gospel stars Yolanda Adams, Kirk Franklin, Donnie McClurkin.
