Josh Hutcherson continues to be an inspiration.

I can exclusively reveal that Hutcherson is helping launch Power On, the new Straight But Not Narrow (SBNN) initiative with The Trevor Project and human I-T to provide LGBTQ youth access to computers and online resources.

"I'm kicking off the Power On campaign by donating one of my old computers, and it's awesome to know that it'll be used to help a young person out there who, before this campaign, wasn't able to get access to information and resources that could really help them," Hutcherson said in a statement. "I've always respected the work that The Trevor Project does, and to have an opportunity for Straight But Not Narrow to collaborate with them on a campaign like Power On is exciting."

From today through LBGT Spirit Day on Oct. 17, human I-T will refurbish donated laptops, tablets and smart phones that will be distributed to LGBTQ youth in underserved areas of the U.S.

And tomorrow, Hutcherson hosts his third annual celebrity charity basketball game in downtown L.A. that benefits SBNN. Among those playing are The Avengers' Clark Gregg, Dallas star Josh Henderson, former NFL star Terrell Owens and NBA player Sasha Vujacic, among others.

Hutcherson, who will next be seen in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay in November and Paradise Lost at the end of the year, has been a longtime supporter of the LGBT community.

So much so that he was honored at the GLAAD Media Awards with the Vanguard  Award in 2012.

"This is what my family is most proud of and the same for me." Hutcherson told me at the time. "Acting is one thing, but actually trying to change the world and the way people think to make people's lives better? That's the stuff I'm most proud of."
