Hilary Duff's little boy is not so little anymore!
The "Chasing the Sun" singer was in for quite a surprise Monday when her 2-year-old son Luca sprayed her right in the face with a garden hose!
In an adorably funny Instagram video, Hilary, 26, says in a sweet, go-and-and-try-it voice, "You can't spray me!" But Luca, looking very determined, says, "sure," squeezes down on the handle and squirts his mama right in the face.
This elicits quite the giggle-fit from Hilary, who tries (and fails) to shield herself from the blast of water. Luca smiles proudly as his mom runs away playfully.
Things aren't all laughter and playtime for the Duffster, though. The 26-year-old former Disney star and Mike Comrie announced in January they were separating after three years of marriage. In an interview with Billboard's "Pop Shop" podcast, Hilary admitted the split "has been a very difficult thing to go through."
It's all worth it, though, because, as she explained, "...we have a lot of love for each other and we have this beautiful baby."
And Luca's parents love spending time with him--and with each other. "So when you see us out it's not just for Luca, it's because we make plans and we hang out," the mom of one told E! News at the iHeart Radio Music Awards in May, "and we don't know what our future looks like right now but we're both doing really good and just figuring out what makes us happy."
Whatever that is, let's just hope Hilary never loses that infectious laugh!
